Kathleen Dennis is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (NJ) and a National Certified Counselor. She also holds credentials as a Master Addiction Counselor, Substance Abuse Professional, Certified First Responder Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Certified Clinical Supervisor.

With over 25 years of counseling experience, Dennis provided services to individuals with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders, primarily in non-profit agencies before transitioning into private practice full-time five years ago. As part of the group at Therapy Resources of Morris County, Dennis specializes in treating adult individuals with substance use/co-occurring disorders, members of the military, first responders, and grief and loss issues. Additionally, she supervises counselors-in-training on a regular basis and has the pleasure of seeing many individuals obtain full licensure as an LPC or LCADC.

Dennis has over seven years of experience as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University’s Department of Counseling. Her goal as a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider is to improve the delivery of telehealth services to the populations she currently serves and share the knowledge gained through earning this credential to better equip the supervisees and students she works with.
