Rose is a Licensed Associate Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Montclair State University and her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Northwestern University. Her specialties are crisis and trauma, disaster recovery and family systems. She has worked with a wide variety of client age groups (young children, adolescents, young and older adults) as well as in various settings such as inpatient, outpatient and treatment facilities.
Rose utilizes psychodynamic and person-centered approach in her work with each of her clients. She provides empathic understanding while trying to uncover past cycles of behaviors that may be triggering the present. Her experience with working with high-risk clients as well as volunteer work in the community helps her to connect with clients by understanding the different walks of life and cultural dynamics that attributes to their challenges. Her goals is to help clients cope with their struggles while also integrating self-awareness to make the necessary changes towards their future.
