Margaret (Peggy) Hynes, LPC, LCADC, NCC
Peggy is dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Peggy received her Master’s Degree in Counseling with a concentration in addictions from Montclair State University.
Peggy has experience providing individual and group counseling at outpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care to diverse populations. Her clinical experience includes treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders and educating families on co-dependency, healthy boundaries and effective communication. She is passionate about helping clients develop healthier behaviors and heal relationships. She also works with individuals to manage depression, anxiety, trauma and other mental health problems.
Peggy is dedicated to developing a genuine and collaborative relationship with each client, offering support and empathetic guidance toward change. She provides a relaxed space to gain clarity and understanding of how the past informs the present, to develop tools for coping with life’s challenges and improve overall well-being. Peggy integrates evidenced-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing to suit each individual’s needs.
