Amanda Michko, LCSW, is a highly experienced New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Monmouth University. She utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, to help clients navigate life’s challenges and achieve meaningful change.

With a diverse clinical background, Amanda has worked across multiple settings, including geriatric care as a Director of Special Services, school-based mental health as a clinician and case manager, and community counseling through the Children’s System of Care. She specializes in working with children and adolescents struggling with school refusal, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She also has extensive experience supporting older adults through life transitions, identity loss, and independence challenges.

Amanda is passionate about working with individuals and families, emphasizing the vital role parents play in a child’s therapeutic journey. She takes a compassionate, strengths-based approach to empower clients with effective coping strategies, helping them build resilience and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
